It’s Time for 3D – Avalon (WinHEC)
I love 3D's, which will give you a real effect. Every one feels fondness to see some real 3D models instead of 2D models. In this day and age from games world to software world 3D's are coming up.
Microsoft hinted at the PDC that the new Windows Client Platform (codenamed Avalon) was going to include support for 3D. While checking the Longhorn SDK on MSDN you may have noticed about the 3D support in Avalon. Avalon" graphics system, which presents 3-D functionality that, enables developers to write 3-D controls and background graphics that interact well with 2-D graphics.
In the Longhorn build (4072) - WinHEC, you can try this!

Channel 9
Explore Channel 9, an interesting Web site launched by a team of Microsoft employees who are trying to construct "a new level of communication" between the company and outside software developers. The site has video interviews, a wiki, and a moblog and lot more.
Channel 9 is named in honor of the United Airlines in-flight channel which allows passengers to listen in on the cockpit.
Fascinating Stuffs and Videos!!!

A new worm (Sasser worm) has started to propagate.
Microsoft teams have confirmed that the Sasser worm (W32.Sasser.A and its variants) is currently circulating on the Internet. Microsoft has verified that the worm exploits the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) issue that was addressed by the security update released on April 13 in conjunction with Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011.
